Make-a-Moai Workshop (Tiki Mug in a Day)

A special session of our signature tiki mug class, this time we're going a step further... You'll finally get to try your hand at the quintessential wood-grain texture and glaze! You'll start by opening a mold of one of Woody Miller's iconic mugs, and learn to apply those classic wood-grain surface details. When it's time to glaze, you'll have the option to do the full wood-effect glaze treatment: applying dark wash, wiping, and spraying brown glaze with an airbrush. Learn first hand how tiki mugs are made, by making your very own mug! In this class you will get to experience the production side of tiki mug making. We will do the final glaze fire and your custom-glazed mug will be ready for pickup within 3 weeks. Class fee includes all tools and materials. This class is intended for ages 18+. Ages 14-17 are welcome if parent and teen both register for the class. Aprons will be provided, but please wear clothing you don't mind getting clay and/or glaze on.
