Next Level Tiki Mugs: Spray Glazes

Level up with the next iteration of our signature tiki mug workshop. This latest version offers you a choice of five iconic tiki mug designs, AND the option to try your hand at the quintessential wood-grain texture and glaze! Learn first hand how tiki mugs are made, by making your very own mug! In this class you will get to experience the production side of tiki mug making. Using plaster molds of sculptures by Woody Miller, you will pour slip into a mold, take the greenware out of a mold, trim and clean the greenware, then skip ahead to glaze a bisque-fired mug. When it's time to glaze, you'll have the option to do the full wood-effect glaze treatment: applying dark wash, wiping, and spraying brown glaze with an airbrush. We will do the final glaze fire and your custom-glazed mug will be ready for pickup within 3 weeks. Class fee includes all tools and materials. This class is intended for ages 18+. Ages 14-17 are welcome if parent and teen both register for the class. Aprons will be provided, but please wear clothing you don't mind getting clay and/or glaze on.
