About this course
This weekend course is for beginner and intermediate level builders. Build your own tiki-style lamp from start to finish. Learn the techniques used for creating enchanting hanging light fixtures, and bring one home to your own tropical escape. Each of our lamp workshops teaches a different lamp design. You'll learn to work with materials like carved and stained or torched wood, fabric, resin, thatch, bamboo, caning, and/or, plus electrical components and hardware for hanging. All tools and materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring custom fabric, ornaments to include in your resin, or additional decorations to adorn your lamp. Please note: The lamp design for this session is currently under development. The photo on this listing is only an example, and will be updated when the design is finalized. Participants should be comfortable working with power tools. Experience is helpful, but not mandatory. Build with a friend! We can accommodate a limited number of complimentary plus-ones in this class, meaning you and a friend work together to build one lamp. Plus-one requests are available once your registration is completed.
